Boarding

At Sharptail Ridge we strive to bring excellent care with lots of love and attention to your dog during his or her stay. We cater to each dog’s personal needs and give the best care and experience possible.
Our boarding facilities are located just outside of Thief River Falls, Minnesota. We hope to be your Northwest Minnesota dog boarding facility!

Reservations are required for all stays.

Daily drop-off and pick-up hours:

  • 7:30 to 9:30 am – by reservation, see below example
  • 3:30 to 5:30 pm – by reservation, see below example
  • 11:30 am to 12:30 pm – by specific time appointment only

PLEASE NOTE–we do not accommodate pick up/drop offs before 7:30 am and after 5:30 pm**

Examples: If you make a reservation to drop off or pick up your dog during our morning hours, you can simply come anytime between the 2 hour block of time. Same applies to our afternoon hours. Again our 11:30 am to 12:30 pm hours are for SPECIFIC TIMES ONLY!

** We are closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and Easter Sunday for drop offs and pickups ** Be assured we will be here for your 4 legged family members.

Please bring the following items with you for your dog:

  • Food (enough for entire stay)
  • Flat collar
  • Medication (if your dog has any)

The following items are optional for you to bring:

  • Bed/Blanket
  • Toys
  • Treats

All food and water dishes are supplied by us – there is no need to bring your own. Thank you.

Cancellation Policy

The customer agrees to pay all charges for the full reservation(s) that I have made with Sharptail Ridge.

If a reservation needs to be adjusted by any number of days, the reservation must be changed a minimum of 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged the original reservation rate. (Example: If the original reservation was made for Fri – Sun (3 day charge) and the client does not give a 48 hour notice that the pickup date will be Sat instead of Sun (a last min change reducing stay to a 2 day charge) the client will still be responsible for all charges from the original reservation of Fri –Sun (3 day charge)).

Vaccination Requirements

  • Rabies
  • Parvo
  • Distemper
  • Bordetella

If your Vaccinations are not current at time of drop off you will be turned away. There are no exceptions, as we care for the safety and health of all of our 4 legged clients and their owners equally.

Facility Details

ALL dogs are either let out in groups or individually, depending on their needs in our play yard.

Dogs always have access to fresh water unless they have special requirements.

Indoor area is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer.

Indoor kennel area has sound absorption panels installed to reduce noise for your dog’s comfort.
