Fun with 4-H at the Fair

Kiara has trained Tanner for several years and each year received the Grand. However this means that every year the challenge gets tougher.

Final(ly) some relief!

So as a senior in college, I happen to be well acquainted with finals. Just as spring fever begins to be relieved by warm weather, and melted water everywhere gives one visions of water-skiing, tanning, walks on the beach, etc., your professors dangle freedom just beyond a hurdle. A huge hurdle.

Puppy Wonder

Today I walk shakily. My legs are weak from exercise and I move mindfully, trying not to let my knees and feet do awkward, collapsy things. I step into the bathroom for Windex, and a puppy whines irritably as he explores. He has newly discovered his own strong appendages, and he operates them with determination. Puppy Wonder

Spring and summer pups

Hello kin and kanine-lovers! Yes, I know it’s about time we had another post here. 🙂 A litter of pups and this thing called life got in the way of my good intentions. Yes, we’ve had another litter of puppies! Penny and Tanner have had a litter of pups, born just two and a half weeks Spring and summer pups

New Puppies!

Well it seems that since spring dropped off the calendar, the pups had to come in summer, just to even things out a bit. We have a new litter that just arrived a few days ago! Rusty and Tanner are the dam and sire – you can find pictures of them on our Breeding Dogs New Puppies!

Kennel Updates!

Several of the pups have stayed on for a few weeks to a month for some beginner training. Mom has enjoyed having them in the house to begin potty training, and Kennel Updates!

We’ve had another litter of puppies! Penny is the mother of this litter. (See the “Breeding dogs” page.) She’s been a patient and good mother, without doubt! She has eleven healthy, sweet puppies. The pups have their eyes and ears open, and they’re learning to crawl around. They’re just three and a half weeks old, Christmas Puppies!

But Before Shammy Left…

She went to pre school! A friend of ours is a teacher at St. John’s school in town, and we asked her if she’d be willing to have a puppy in s for one day. She said yes! So we prepared Shammy and a few games to fill the morning. First Mom showed all the kiddos But Before Shammy Left…

“Shammy”

Little Shamrock. She’s been picked out by a family in Missouri and they asked us to complete two months of house training with her. So of course we affectionately nick-named her “Shammy” and donated one of the tiled rooms downstairs to her training. She’s become quite the loved little pet, too! Under Mom’s jurisdiction, she “Shammy”
